Terms and conditions

Registering as a tutor with TuitionBuddy is
FREE OF CHARGE. However, TuitionBuddy reserves all rights to reject your registration (example: full address/home tel/NRIC no. not given).

Before submitting the tutor or student registration form, please read the Terms and
Conditions carefully. Tutors and students who sign up with TuitionBuddy agree to the following terms and conditions:

==Eligibility==

To be eligible to be a tutor, you must pass the following requirements.

-You must be a Singapore Citizen/Singapore permanent resident or hold a student pass.

-You must be at least 16 years old.

-You need to have a minimum academic qualification of an O'level certificate and relatively good grades in the subjects that you wish to teach.

== Engagement ==

Students and tutors are expected to commit at least one month of tutoring. This allows a minimum period for both the students and the tutors to get used to each other's style of learning and teaching.

Should there be cases whereby tuition has to be cancelled before one month; parents need only pay for the number of lessons attended.

In exceptional cases whereby the tuition is cancelled after the first lesson for valid reasons, there would be no charge. A new tutor will be introduced.

Once tutors are assigned a student they are to register again if they want to be informed of more assignments.

== Payment ==

A one-time commission of 50% of the first month tuition fee will be payable by the student, which TuitionBuddy will collect directly after the 2nd week of tuition. Students will then pay the tutors the remaining 50% after the first one month of tutoring. For subsequent months, tutors will keep the full tuition fees.

Example:
Commission = first 2 lessons (if tuition is scheduled to be once per week)
Commission = first 4 lessons (if tuition is scheduled to be twice per week)
Commission = first 6 lessons (if tuition is scheduled to be thrice per week)

If the assignment is stopped before the first month, TuitionBuddy shall collect the total fee payable, as administrative charges. Payment to us will be made by cheque, atm transfer or cash from the students. Mode of payment must be made known to us by the first lesson.

After the second week, we will send an electronic invoice to the student. Payment can then be made by mail or a representative from tuition buddy will be sent to the student's address to collect it.

== Verification of Qualifications ==

On the first lesson, tutors must produce all necessary documents to certify your academic qualifications, credentials and NRIC to the student/s.

After filling up the tutor registration form, tutors are required to scan and email us copies of their certificates for verification.

== Disclaimer ==

TutionBuddy is not responsible for resolving any conflict or disagreement that may arise between tutor and student. In addition, TuitionBuddy will not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential damages arising in connection with the use of this website. However, we are willing to offer our advice and suggestions.
